I suppose I could continue to break down each of your misinterpretations, illogical assumptions, tepid insults, and heaps upon heaps of generalizations. However, this would require me to spend time dissecting your thought process to find out exactly where you went stupid on every single count, and I, apparently unlike you, have better things to do with that time.
I came in here. I proved my point. I would now like to refer you to point 1 of reply #49.

I'm always right because I never take on anything in which I'm in the wrong.

You've just said I have made misinterpretations, illogical assumptions, tepid insults, and generalizations and not pointed any out. Don't be a jerk and not have anything to back it up.

Hum.. Mr CapnARRR, what kind of video game music ? Are you one of the Uematsu/Mitsuda/Kikuta fan ? Love Uematsu and Mitsuda. Mostly for their SNES game soundtracks, but they've done some interestin’ stuff since. Some game soundtracks I've been listening to lately: Katamari Damashi Castlevania Symphony of the Night Actraiser Phantom Brave God of War Big Joe Hisashi fan too, while we're talking about Japanese guys. I also like just about anything from Danny Elfman (guy who wrote the Simpsons theme and assorted Tim Burton movie soundtracks) and Drew Neumann (Aeon Flux cartoon music). Few other obscure ones i can't think of now. By the way, to prove Kinky's point, I didn't even know what Steely Dan's music sounded like until moments ago when I looked some sample tracks up on Amazon. I guess it's ok if you like elevator music, but I can't get into it myself.

If you like Yuzo Koshiro, there's a Street of Rage megamix downloadable via his company site, Ancient. Site: www.ancient.co.jp/Mix: www.ancient.co.jp/mp3/bk-allmix.mp3Katary Damacy was too... J-pop?for me. If you like japanese instruments, try maybe Agatsuma (http://www.domo.com/artist/agatsuma.html), shamisen with synth and breakbeats, and DJ Krush's latest, Jaku. Both pretty nice. In term of video game music, I guess the last OST that DID impress me was Xenosaga's. Nothing really wow-like I can think of since then. Recently, I've really become addicted to strange micro-electro acoustic music, things like what is released by Carsten Nicolai's Raster Norton (http://www.raster-noton.de/). I know it just sounds like pretentious crap to lots of people, but I strangely really enjoy that.

Hey, I remember Streets of Rage. I think it was part 2 or 3 that had a kangaroo that you could use to kick people's asses. Crazy stuff. I kinda miss that entire genre of games, haven't played stuff like it since the old Capcom side scrollers.

Yup, beat-em-all have been a dying breed for years, the same way shoot-them-up have. And it doesn't appear things will be going for the better anytime soon. Too bad.

Anyone remember "THE ADVENTURES OF BAYOU BILLY!" *pop* *shatter*
Jay, I remember you had that game, and I remember hating it for some reason. But now, I want to play it really badly.

Anyone remember "THE ADVENTURES OF BAYOU BILLY!" *pop* *shatter* Jay, I remember you had that game, and I remember hating it for some reason. But now, I want to play it really badly. The reason you hated it was because the controls were awful, every enemy took about 20 hits to kill, punch and kick did the same exact thing and it was boring as hell.
