I must admit Beautifull day (U2) is impossible to replace when I wake up the morning during week end with my foots on my carpet looking the sun rising by the window( and the cimetery in front of my appartment in same time ) aaaah best way to start a day.... except staying in the bed all day long

oh boy...wake up in the morning music is a horse of a different color. Morning music is KEY to a good day. I have been waking up to Belle & Sebastian's 'Dog on Wheels' EP for the last week. Good Stuff.

I must have all my Ben Folds and Ben Folds Five CDs, my Dave Matthews Band CDs, my Guster CDs, and . . . that's about it. Tomorrow that lineup will change. But as for right now that's what I'm feelin'.

But maybe that's just me.

Rockin' the Suburbs is a fabulous disc. You need to pick up his "Ben Folds Live" CD. It's great.
And U2 is an awesome band, people. Once they got through their little "Discotheque"-phase, things got a lot better.

I just wanted to say hi to Wes and welcome him to the boards. He writes such a great comic strip too- go check it out (the link is in his sig). It's nice to see such a professional strip online.

I'm not much for the mainstream modern day stuff they try to pass off as music, but I like "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved", good mellowing balance to what I usually listen to. You can tell they're children of the 80s.

Yeah, its just you. Take it from the music god, there are a few bands are still around that have withstood the progression of time and will never be has beens- the Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, Aerosmith, and U2. And if they come out with a new album within the next 3 to 5 years, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be added to that.

You can tell they're children of the 80s. The 80's seem to be coming back into grace. Run for your lives.

The 80's seem to be coming back into grace. Run for your lives. Consider the alternatives... 50s- no sex before marriage 60s- Hey man, like... let's like... not have wars and spread love and peace. 70s- Disco Stu likes disco music 80s- Fully open about sex, good cartoons and music, and pedophilic pop icons 90s- Yo yo, wassup my nigga OR meh I'm so depressed and emo and/or "alternative" I'd have to say the least annoying of those HAS to be the 80s.

I have good memories of the 80s- good toys/tv shows/music and economic prosperity.
Then again I might just have a biased toward it b/c I was a child in the 80s- didn't have to face any sort of responsibility or deal with what was "really" going on with the world.
I wouldn't mind the 80s coming back so long as fashion doesn't go there- ugh (though I see some trends from 80s fashion sneaking into the chick stores I frequent)
