Here are some comics that I'm currently "into," and I highly recommend: Dog Complex www.dog-complex.comA story about a man, his dog, and their petstore. This strip is also featured on ComicsSherpa. Return to Sender rts.lunistice.com/Love the art, love the writing. It's quirky and intriguing, but doesn't suit anyone. If you're a fan of Jhonan Vasquez, you'll probably appreciate this one. (Contains some graphic violence) Penny Arcade www.penny-arcade.comOne of the few comics that actually makes me laugh out loud... It's a gaming comic, but most of the time you don't even have to know about video games to get the joke. (Contains lotsa bad words and a robot that rapes fruit) More links to come later!

I would also suggest: Apple Geeks: www.applegeeks.com/Just plain funny. MegaTokyo: www.megatokyo.comPainfully slow plot, drawn completely in pencil, is funny once and a while, what more do ya need?

Here are some more that I'm reading right now: Lost Sheep www.ucomics.com/lostsheepDan Thompson also started out on Sherpa. I'm pretty sure everyone here is familiar with his cartoon, but in case you're not, do so now! It's really heart-warming, but not in the overly sweet way. Dan also writes the best Halloween story lines I've ever read. Murph27- I've never read through your entire archive before, but I took the opportunity to a couple of days ago. I really dig your writing! Very nice, indeed! Go chek out his cartoon "Slacks" on Drunk Duck: www.drunkduck.com/slacks

Well, Ms. Babcock, that is quite a compliment as I am particularly enamored with your writing.

Arighty, here's my two cheap cents 1. Crap I drew on my lunchbreak by Jin Wicked crap.jinwicked.com/ - It's funny and the art is niiiiice. 2. Anime Arcadia www.animearcadia.com/ - It's a manga style comic. It's cute, but there aren't that many eps out yet. 3. Girly go-girly.com/ - My favorite. It's funny, tho a bit bizarre sometimes. It's definitely NOT rated PG....maybe PG-13 cuz there isn't anything really explicit....then again....yeah, it has some sexuallity stuff in it, so you've been warned (and NO, it's not hentai, thank you very much )

@kinkykingkal: Yeah, I guess that is a good way to describe it....tho maybe a bit to negative? I don't know. English is not my best language when I need to express myself... MacManDeluxe: I guess it's a taste thing. Everybody has their own preferences. I just find it interesting that someone actually publishes stuff like that in the US. Kinda surpried me considering....oh, sorry not allowed to talk politics, ne? Also, I'm an Anime/Manga person.

German. It has more subtleties and descriptive words -at least for me. The point is arguable, of course, but from my stand point German is nicer.

I think all languages have something unique about them. I don't know enough German to really grasp all the subtleties, but I did recently read a story that had a verb which literally meant "pregnant with action." I thought that was pretty neat. I wish English had more onomatopoeias like Japanese does though...
